Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 1,128 | Just getting the PEG doesn't mean you have to use it, but it's there if you need it. Although I had a PEG for my 'nuking' (I didn't have chemo), I continued to drink my water and take my meds by mouth, and even occasionally swallowed my food, but for the most part I used the PEG for the food.
