I didn't see the posts in question, but sometimes a little almost-heated discussion brings out some useful facts (A guy I worked for in a former life told me that a sergeant he worked for in USAF told him that the way to find stuf out was to get the other guy in a warm [not heated] argument because he will trot out all he knows to win).

I know we've all learned a lot about PEGs, for example, and there used to be some pretty strong opinions for and against, so it can't all be Hearts & Flowers!

As with any internet group, if someone posts mildly disagreeable stuf, don't read any more from them, and if strongly disagreeable, report to moderator. Sometimes people post to get a response (aka trolling) and the most effective way to deal with them is ignore them.
