I personally would think products with peroxide were too harsh and anything with ethyl alcohol a most definate no.Salt water and baking soda worked wonders for Rob and he also had a liquid called mucaine suspension that was thick and milky looking and was hand made by the pharmacist.I believe one of the active ingredients was a local anaesthetic which certainly numbed the pain.Have the sores been swabbed for possible infection Geri?
