I feel kind of dumb asking this question but here goes. When my Mom has her surgery they are going to remove a lump on the right side of her neck (right under the jaw bone) where they say the cancer is in a lymph node. That's what the dr. has told her. I keep seeing neck dissection come up in the postings. Is that the same thing as when they remove the lump from her neck or is that something different? Thanks.
