Thanks -- working in Washington does teach the importance of the right spin!

I do know what you mean, though -- my husband's SCC was mostly in situ when it was caught (with a tiny bit superficially invasive), and I am humbled by those who post here and have dealt or are dealing with more advanced stages, whether as survivor or as caregiver/family member/friend.

April 2006: Husband dx by dentist with leukoplakia on tongue. Oral surgeon's biopsy 4/28/06: Moderate dysplasia; pathology report warned of possible "skip effect." ENT's excisional biopsy (got it all) 5/31/06: SCC in situ/small bit superficially invasive. Early detection saves lives.
