This is not good at all." Then he went on to say, "you know once it gets in the lungs there's not much we can do. We can treat you but we can't cure you". Then he went on to tell me that I should consider quitting my job and doing all the things in life I've always wanted to do. He's kind of a blunt sort of guy. I ended up switching to a different M.O. at the same CCC. This M.O. doesn't paint any rosier of a picture about my condition, but he is much more willing to help me fight. The other guy didn't even want to give me some decent chemo because he said I should just enjoy the quality of my remaining life. This guy understands that I'm only 41, I've got a wife and four kids, and I want to FIGHT as long as I've got fight in me. So he's taking an aggressive approach to help me in the fight. I feel a lot better about it. I understand wha the M.O. was saying, that statistically where I'm at is not good. But I'm not going to live by the stats. I'm still convinced I can win this battle and I'm going to do everything in my power to do just that.
