Joined: Jun 2007 Posts: 5,260 | Yes my surgery is Wed and I have no idea how long I will be in the Hospital. My Ins sent me a letter giving me the OK for extended care as the Dr thinks I might need it. I'll have someone post updates and it will be BarbT or my sister Carol. I hope I can be home in no longer than a week. I have to call the Hospital Tuesday for the time I have to be there and they will give me surgery time. Thanks for asking.
Since posting this. UPMC, Pittsburgh, Oct 2011 until Jan. I averaged about 2 to 3 surgeries a week there. w Can't have jaw made as bone is deteroriating steaily that is left in jaw. Mersa is to blame. Feeding tube . Had trach for 4mos. Got it out April.
