Patient Advocate (1000+ posts) Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 1,128 | I was having the Big D also; turned out to be that I was taking the tube feeding food too fast! This is strange because my first time around with tube feeding during radiation, I was taking it in much faster than I can this time.
Besides the runs, my symptoms would be a lot of gurgling and grumbling from stomach and I would break out in a sweat. I tried several types of food and took meds against an infection, but it definitely stopped when the nutritionist told me to slow it down.
I switched to Nutren 2.0, which has 500 cal/can, so I need fewer cans per day to get the calories, and that's been working well for me.
