I'm sorry to hear that your mom is having problems with her reconstruction. Even as a dentist, it would be difficult for me or anyone, for that matter, to tell you what is going on with your mom, over the internet.

I assume that your mom has been looked at by the surgeon that placed the screws. How long has this been going on? What has the surgeon told her is the reason for the fistulas? I would assume that the screws were made of a material that is usually not rejected byt the body.
