My mom was diagnosed with oral cancer in Feb 2004. They did a neck dissection, cut out half her jaw and replaced it with a bone from her leg and they took 75% of her tongue. She has been cancer free since the surgery. I am back because she is stuck with fistulas that won't close and it looks like it might be caused by her body rejecting the metal screws they used to put her back together. Does anyone know about this kind of stuff? She needs teeth and the fistulas need to be dealt with first. The web site looks very nice. It is good to know this is still here helping and supporting those who have been affected by this horrible disease. | | |
