The OCF news site has been posting articles for several years on nanoparticle work.
The use of radio frequency to destroy cancer cells is already done in a different way, called radio frequency ablation (RFA) in which a probe is inserted right into a tumor using a CT guiding technology, and then when turned in it literally cooks the cancer tumor to destroy it. While this destroys large mass tumors, it still has to be used in conjunction with other technologies for complete elimination of disease. Nanoparticles as a mechanism for painting malignant cells as targets could be used for many other ways besides radio frequency to target them. Do a search in the main OCF site for nano and you'll see a couple years worth of stories on how the work is progressing.
