No one is going to stop having oral sex in my opinion. And even if you did, it is clear that while this is one method of transfer of the virus it is likely not the only one. Studies are ongoing to look at things like just intimate kissing. Oral sex, for lack of a better term, was the low hanging fruit and an obvious means in the early articles. We are going to find that the virus can be transferred by other means in the next year. As we have said here before, getting the virus does not mean for sure you will get a cancer, it does not mean that your immune system will not just deal with it, and so much more. What we do not know about all this far exceeds what we do know at this point in time. I have articles which I cannot share because they are embargoed for publication in the next few months, that elucidate this somewhat better, but we are still a long way from knowing everything that we need to. Sexual behavior in not only the US, but the world, has been changing particularly since the free love days of the 60's. We are seeing sociological changes, and spin off events from them. Oral cancers and this virus are just one of many.
