One thing for sure is to tell them the Dr isn't infallible in his decisions and can be wrong in his treatment procedures. Tell them to all get a 2nd opinion . Don't forget the taking notes and having some one with them to ask questions and take notes. Let them know how their lives wil be changed as far as eating , tasting and swallowing.
