Jim, that is the kindest thing anyone has ever said to me on this board. I remember when I was first diagnosed, I was 41, and my doctor told me that he usually doesn't see this type of cancer until a patient is in their 70's at least. I find myself thinking that I dont mind so much that I have the cancer, ust wish it could have waited another 25 years!! But then I remember that I'm much luckier than many that used to be a part of this board. First to my memory is Heather and Marcy, 28 and 32 respectively and both with a young daughter left behind.

SCC Left Mandible. Jaw replaced with bone from leg. Neck disection, 37 radiation treatments. Recurrence 8-28-07, stage 2, tongue. One third of tongue removed 10-4-07. 5-23-08 chemo started for tumor behind swallowing passage, Our good friend and much loved OCF member Minnie has been lost to the disease (RIP 10-29-08). We will all miss her greatly.
