Patient Advocate (old timer, 2000 posts) Joined: May 2002 Posts: 2,152 | Hi Maz, Give 'em hell. I assume you will be getting a TEP. There were able to put mine in at the of the surgery. Sometimes they have to wait to put it in. They were also able to do my surgery without having to take an artery from my arm so healing needed on the arm or leg either. I also had a neck dissection at the same time. I was out of hospital in 5 days with nasal feeding tube which came out about 8 days later. Was then able to talk a little using TEP. Damn thing kept getting clogged and my speech therapist forgot to give me the brush to clear it. If you have any questions, please email me.
