My BF had a squamous cell cancer removed from his lip six months ago. So far, so good...he's very fortunate it was found early.
I'm wondering if anyone here has a suggestion about a life insurance company who would cover him or cover him with a waiver of benefits for a death from SCC.
He lost his job shortly before the diagnosis and his current employer does not offer group life and most major carriers will not cover him (they won't cover anyone with a cancer diagnosis other than basal cell) or the premiums are sky high.
We have a child, so of course I'd like some coverage for our son. A more immediate problem is that his divorce decree requires that he carry insurance with his ex-wife as beneficiary and he has none right now...if she finds this out, he'll end up in court.
Has anyone had any success obtaining affordable coverage with an SCC diagnosis?
Thanks for any suggestions!
