Talk to moms doctor.they may be able to give a light sleep aid. That's what they did for my mother. She didn't get a normal good nights' rest without interruption, but definately did sleep. Unfortunately, they couldn't give her major sleep aids because of the fear of choking and aspiration. But she slept intermittently, and that's better than no sleep at all. I remember how hard it was watching her try to get comfortable, moving in her recliner, and feeling so helpless. I know how frustrating it is. Also, try lavender candles and scents in the room. That can also have a relaxing effect. It's worth a try! Good luck.....
