I am newly diagnosed with SCC BOT, probably T1 or T2 , N1M0G1, and have my first appointment at the Cancer Center next Tuesday.

I had a fine needle biopsy of the lymph node on Tuesday, at the same time they did the BOT biopsy under general anesthetic. The tongue and throat are a little sore, but the site of the lymph node biopsy is really tender and swollen. ENT says this is normal, and to use ice. The lymph node was only 2cm before the biopsy, but now that whole area feels like a tennis ball in my neck.

Anyone else experience this?

Thanks,

Jeff
