After the needle biopsy of the swollen lymph node under my jaw. It was as if the node became 'angry' or something.......got more and more sore and tender. I felt 'shooting' pains up the side of my head....not to mention the lymph gland swelled up considerably and measured 5.5 cm when it was finally removed at surgery 4 weeks later.
dx 2/13/06. modified radical neck dissection 3/9/06 multiple biopsies of upper airway and direct laryngoscopy. 1 of 47 lymph nodes positive for metastatic undifferentiated carcinoma (lymphoepithelioma). Unknown primary. Finished radiation 5/24/06.
