The insertion of the PEG takes about 20 minutes. Make sure they don't skimp on the instructions on how to use it, care of the site, and giving you a phone number to call for questions! Also, you should have a consultation with a nutritionist to advise on the type of liquid "formula" to use and the amount of calories and water to be consumed. Good luck!
