I've been away from this informative website for about a month. My 49 year old sister had surgery on May 7 to remove a tiny cancer from her palate. They removed a portion of her palate; all of her teeth I'm sorry to say (she had beautiful, movie-star teeth); a portion of her jawbone; and lymph glands as a precaution I'm told. She also had skin removed from her stomach to build a new cheek. She did very well with her surgery but is now approaching the radiation treatment (June 17) and she seems more afraid of the radiation than she was of the surgery. It seems like the information I've passed on to her from this website has helped her; so I would like to hear your experiences throughout radiation, Joanna. P.S. I am with you regarding Brian Hill and this site...it's been extremely helpful in so many ways. Thanks for your advice also, Joanna and best of luck to you as you continue to recover.
