For anyone facing surgery (mine was retro molar trigone area and lymph nodes and a little scrape of jaw bone) I want you to know it will not be anywhere as bad as you expect, or at least in my case was almost a walk in the park. Started agitating for home on day three, and would have gone except for hourly pulse checks on graft which is a true marvel of microsurgery. On day 4 got a speeding ticket for power walking in the halls, so you can see this was not major awful.

This board provided me with such wonderful information that I cannot adequately express my appreciation to Brian and all others who answerd so many questions.

Will heal now, and although all margins were clean, will go for a course of radiation to play it safe.
