I truly cannot even imagine the anguish that a parent must go through when they lose a child. I had a friend Danyelle, she was only 25 and she was killed last July in Oregon because she was driving with a drunk driver who lost control of the car and hit a tree. Less than a year prior to that her younger brother only 17 was in a car accident on the freeway got out of the car to wait for the tow truck and sat on the center divider only to have a drunk driver crash into the back of their car and sent him over the center divider to be run over by oncoming traffic and only two years prior to this my friends mom lost her husband. That was her entire family gone within two years. I will never be able to understand why things happen to good people. When her mother called me to tell me what had happened I could not even begin to tell her how sorry I was that she had lost her entire family within two years...What can a person do to comfort somebody in a situation like that? I still think about the pain she must go through everyday and how truly alone she must feel....
