Hello, I'm new to the board and just needed some advice from somebody....

My name is Tom and I'm 19 years old and I have a friend, Andrew, who uses smokeless tobacco. He's only 17 and I'm really worried for him. He drinks heavily too and the other night I went to a party and he was using both. He's a really good friend of mine, but I think if I approach him about this, it will really piss him off. I'm really confused and don't know what to do!?! Actually, I know what I have to do and that is talk to him, but I don't know how to go about it....Any help would be great!
