Adam, great that you threw out the tobbacco. ENT stands for Ear Nose and Throat, a doctor that specializes in that area of the body. You may need to have a family/regular doc look at you first and get a referral. Brian's information may bypass the need for a referral. Insurance coverage or not get it checked now.

Try not to freak out! None of us are able to make a diagnosis. It may not be serious but the only way to know is to have it looked at and perhaps a biopsy (small sample) sent to a pathologist.

Mark, 21 Year survivor, SCC right tonsil, 3 nodes positive, one with extra-capsular spread. I never asked what stage (would have scared me anyway) Right side tonsillectomy, radical neck dissection right side, maximum radiation to both sides, no chemo, no PEG, age 40 when diagnosed.
