I had a SCC removed from my tongue in March and have just had another removed from behind and around a left rear molar. I too was a healthy non smoker and very moderate drinker - although 11 years older than you.
The more I read on this forum the more apparent it is that this disease can strike anyone at anytime often for no apparent reason. I have been lucky that both my cancers have been caught early and removed with clean margins.
I hope this new lump is just scar tissue, or part of the healing process. My ENT seems to think that so long as these things are caught very early then the prognosis should continue to be good. Good Luck!
