I’m a 39F non smoker and have had a bump on my right lateral tongue, also near my molar for 2 years now. It has not grown but is frequently red, irritated, & tender. During covid, I saw 2 ents, 1 was a head & cancer specialist, and neither actually looked at it but just felt it & said it was fine. I just recently got to the dentist (a new dentist) & they feel it is due to friction. I’m not entirely buying that because of the irritation. Was your sore/bump open? What did it look like? Did it bleed or hurt? No one wants to biopsy this thing for me but I don’t think they are getting a proper look.
