You'll be very glad you found this group. Naturally, none of us wished to be here, but that be as it may we are here. I have found that a positive attitude goes a long way. My attitude was the same as yours appears to be. Let's get this over with so I can get on with the rest of my life.
Radiation for me was nothing. The dr's have to tell you all the bad things that can happen to you inorder to protect themselves from law suits. As you should well understand. When my oncologist finish explaining to me all that could go wrong I told him that nothing like that would happen to me. He said "I hope not". Well, fortunately nothing bad did happen and the radiation didn't effect me. After it was all over my dr, invited me to lunch and told me how much he believed that my very positive attitude was amazing and that had much to do with my success. He told me that he was glad I could call him a liar in regards to side effects. I only share this because a positive attitude is imperative. I'm not a lawyer, but I am a school administrator and the fear of the unknown is limited after you join this group of very caring persons.
