Your mind is taking to you to some scary places. Don't let it. A counsellor I saw told me that when my mind went to the dark places to literally shout at myself "STOP" then think of something happy/good. Funnily enough this worked for me. At this point you and your Team dont have all the information needed to formulate a treatment plan. Be patient. Once you have the plan in place I know you will relax . I don't know if you have considered a 2nd opinion or if you are wing treated at a CCC. Please consider both of these. You want to be treated by the best for the best outcome for you Tammy
Caregiver/advocate to Husband Kris age 59@ diagnosis DX Dec '10 SCC BOT T4aN2bM0 HPV+ve.Cisplatin x3 35 IMRT. PET 6/11 clear. R) level 2-4 neck dissection 8/1/11 to remove residual node - necrotic with NED Feb '12 Ca back.. 3/8/12 total glossectomy/laryngectomy/bilat neck dissection/partial pharyngectomy etc. clear margins. All nodes negative for disease. PEG in. March 2017 - 5 years disease free. Woohoo!
