Interesting that smoking cessation is seen as something that will stop cancer dead in its tracks. Many studies suggest that stopping smoking will not decrease your risk of cancer for as many as 30 years after you stop. The cardiovascular improvements begin almost immediately. Most longer term studies are isolated to lung cancer., however. Drinking could also cause problems.

Harry, there was an interesting study published that showed eating blue raspberries might protect the mouth enough to slow down the progression of leukoplakia into cancer.
