Its not unusual for me to see patients going a couple hours away for their appointments and ask for a driver. Its worth a shot and this could be a way to get you where you need to go. You would be surprised at all the people (usually former caregivers or cancer patients) that do the ACS volunteer driving program. It take a couple weeks to get onto the list so try not to delay if you are going to go that route.
