Laura,you must be so shocked and reeling from this. It is just awful.
Unfortunately I do recall another member of this site who reported the same thing happening to her husband. I think she posted as Johnswife.
I am so sorry that this has happened to you too. There is nothing I can say to comfort you, but please know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

PET 6/11 clear.
R) level 2-4 neck dissection 8/1/11 to remove residual node - necrotic with NED
Feb '12 Ca back.. 3/8/12 total glossectomy/laryngectomy/bilat neck dissection/partial pharyngectomy etc. clear margins. All nodes negative for disease. PEG in.
March 2017 - 5 years disease free. Woohoo!
