My ENT says annual chest x-rays are going to be part of my life. The Thyroid test also is normal and it is good he has ordered that for John. about 1 year post radiation is when Thyroid problems seem to start (if there is going to be one) The test is a simple blood test and I have to do it monthly because it takes a while to adjust the dosage (I am on synthroid now myself). ABN? Could that be abdomen?
Take care and remember the stress before a Dr. visit is smaller than the relief when you hear "everything is fine" :p
Mark, 21 Year survivor, SCC right tonsil, 3 nodes positive, one with extra-capsular spread. I never asked what stage (would have scared me anyway) Right side tonsillectomy, radical neck dissection right side, maximum radiation to both sides, no chemo, no PEG, age 40 when diagnosed.
