An example of the difference in cost for antibiotics is significant! My cipro pills which I crushed and added water to then put thru my tube were only $4 but the liquid was close to $300. For a $290 difference I can add my own water!

Yes, use caution when putting meds down tubes as not every medication is ok to take like that. As Paul said, time release meds are a big no-no thru the tube as it could cause an over dose.

When in doubt, ask the doc or pharmacist.
