I also have low grade polymorphic adenocarcinoma. Mine was on my palate and had surgery to remove it a week and a half ago. Since they had to remove part of my hard and soft palate, I have an obturator, but received good news that the margins from the first resection were clear, no nerve involvement and bone in hard palate was clear, so I will not be having radiation or other treatment. I am 64, never smoked, drink socially and have been in excellent health. My oncologist said there aren't a lot of stats regarding similar cancers to mine, since it is somewhat rare. It appears that I had it for a long time and doctors all said it was nothing. Even though I appear to be getting a good result, i am wishing it had been diagnosed years ago and that I could have avoided a hole in the roof of my mouth and an obturator, but, oh well, I am still very lucky.
