Minniea:
I had some debulking and just a little exploratory surgery before the chemo/radiation. The PET will decide how much more surgery is needed. The Oncologist and Radiation doctors were quite pleased with the results of their efforts - the mass completely disappeared. My ENT has a more sobering approach; he told me that it's pretty tought to get the cancer that is already in the marrow of the jawbone and seems to be prepping me for for some radical surgery. At best it would be minor (aacording to the Radioligist/Chemo Docs), at worst the jawbone is coming out. In the next two weeks they'll all be on the same page. The thought of surgery doesn't bother me as much as more Chemo and Radiation, that really sucked! If I never have that again it'll be too soon!.
