If you are not able to go without using the feeding tube for at least a month then it should NOT be removed. Its much better to work on relearning to eat and not rush removing the tube too soon. None of us like using a feeding tube! But when you need one then its necessary. By removing the tube when you are not ready is not going to be productive in your recovery at all. I highly recommend postponing your removal appointment until you have been able to go without using the tube for at least one month. By removing it too soon, you are risking your health and setting yourself up for some big problems down the road.
