Joined: Jun 2007 Posts: 10,507 Likes: 7 | Since you did not go to the ENT first, it took several weeks before you saw the right professional. This is normal for just being diagnosed and you are now right on track. A PET is necessary to determine if cancer is anywhere else and how advanced it is.
Relax and soon the flurry of appointments settle down and you will have a treatment plan.
