I had the same scare not too long ago. Saw my RO on Monday and sent me for a PET/CT on Thursday, and all was clear. Told me the pain was just a side-effect of radiation. I too have those "zinger" ear pains and tongue pain like that. I am hoping it is nothing, and your Drs can put your mind at ease. I know I still have to go see my ENT so we can figure out why the pain is getting worse on my tongue.
