My first thought when I started to read your first post regarding the white stripe under the tongue was leukoplakia. As you can see by my signature this is what I had and it eventually turned to cancer. Your later post says they "originally believed" it to be leukoplakia? I can see from your post that your head is spinning right now and you should know that there is no such thing as a stupid question here. It is only a little while to wait now for the result of the needle biopsy if you get them on Monday 12th. I am a little unclear if you had a more thorough biopsy when you say you had 2 �cores� taken? You will no doubt have a lot more questions when you get the result so ask away as there are many here to help you.
History Leukoplakia bx 8/2006 SCC floor mouth T3N0M0- Verrucous Carcinoma. 14 hour 0p SCC-Right ND/excision/marginal mandibulectomy 9/2006, 4 teeth removed, flap from wrist, trach-ng 6 days- no chemo/rad. 6 ops and debulking (flap/tongue join) + bx's 2006-2012. bx Jan 2012 Hyperkeratosis-Epithelial Dysplasia 24cm GIST tumour removed 8/2013. Indefinite Oral Chemo.
