donswife: I'm so sorry for the difficult place you are in. You should probably start your own post on this so that any replies could be directed to you. It sounds to me like you could use some legal advice before you do anything legal, -especially if your spouse is in serious condition and something should happen to him. Also, I do not have a legal background, but as his legal wife, wouldn't you be able to get information from his doctor? You could direct your spouse to OCF so he or his partner could get some helpful advice in his recovery. The prospect of divorce is traumatic for many. I went to a Divorce Recovery class which helped me a lot. I hope things get easier for you.
