I didnt like the high protein powder in my milk shakes either. My taste became super sensitive where I could taste a couple grains of salt or even worse pepper.
How about trying good old Carnation Very High Calorie? You can order cases of it for about $44 total from the Amazon link on the main forum pages. If refrigerated, it might not be too bad to drink. I would drink yoo-hoo while going thru radiation. I loved that stuff, for some reason I could taste the chocolate and it was very soothing to my sore mouth and throat.
