Oh yes, I have magic mouthwash, too. And it does help with pain. I guess I have to accept that the sores come with the territory, as you say. I am the kind of person who likes to think I can manage everything if I just do the right thing, but the reality is that some things just can't be controlled even with the best care. That is tough to accept. It's like that saying "God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference." -Michelle


SCC left tonsil, stage IV, HPV+, metastatic to one lymph node. Biopsy 12/23/10; tonsillectomy 1/13/11; DX 1/25/11; Peg in 1/28/11. Peg out 6/29. TX 1/31/11-3/21/11: 35 IMRT plus 3 Cisplatin. Pet-Scan 6/20/11 = CLEAR! Three years out, learning to live with the long-term side effects of radiation while reminding myself to feel blessed.
