You did good, Christine - everyone is so proud of you. I hate the looks on some of the faces of people watching floats go by, I guess because they see how some of the survivors look. You don't look bad at all, and I guess if one doesn't realize what the survivors went through just to be alive, they are dumbfounded shocked. If they only knew. Getting out there and getting exposure and educating people to our horrible experience(s) though, is what it takes. You could just tell that everyone on the float is so proud, as they should be.

Nov 2007 SCC on right tonsil following tonsillectomy. Was smoker, QUIT. (Stage IV T2 N2b) 7 weeks radiation one day/wk chemo (carboplatin and 5-FU). Allergic to Taxol; PEG in, lost 30 lbs. TX completed January 2008. PEG out mid- 2008. PET/CT 1/17/2011;2/3/12 NEGATIVE for cancer
