Now there are Dr's and then there are Dr's when it comes to what we have to deal with and go through. I was told time after time that I wouldn't have function on the right side of my face again by my ENT (whom I love) but pressed him to find a solution for me. (the conversation went like this: "Dude you put me through hell, you owe me a solid man...find a way for me to kiss my wife again.") and he checked it out and referred me on to a surgeon that has had success with nerve grafts restoring facial function.
Don't lose heart my dear if this is something you want, find the best in the field and see what they can do for you.
