I had the surgery in Aug 2007 abd I still can't even lick my lips. Noy much tongue except for the tongue muscle. Had a couple of pieces of tongue removed after that sso I just accpet it. Some words are impossible to say so I have to spell some. Glad I spell vbetter than I type. LOL Good luck and I hope it all returns soon.

Since posting this. UPMC, Pittsburgh, Oct 2011 until Jan. I averaged about 2 to 3 surgeries a week there. w Can't have jaw made as bone is deteroriating steaily that is left in jaw. Mersa is to blame. Feeding tube . Had trach for 4mos. Got it out April.
