I saw medical oncology yesterday and I got more information. I have a tumor in my neck that is close to I think a jugular vein. There are also many live SCC cells positive in the surrounding area.

The option is to use 4-5 chemo drugs to shrink tumor and kill SCC cells then maybe operate removing tumore and jugular muscle etc.
Its a radical option as the outcome is likeley the same with or without treatment, the oncologist very honestly saying people in my situation have about 8 months to live. Another option would be to treat it as pallative and focus on quality of my remaining time, stay happy healthy and try to beat it that way. Any thoughts guys??? I am tending towards quality of life as I am sick of being cut up and feeling bad all the time. I think I want to live now not start to die. Tone
