Joined: Jun 2007 Posts: 5,260 | I get the scope and dialated every 3 months and I only had pain one time and for some reason eneded up in ICU for 1 day and nite . It was from a reaction from something. I have been getting these since 1996 and they do help with the swallowing for me. I'm about dure again soon. The time with pain was from the biopsies he takes.
Since posting this. UPMC, Pittsburgh, Oct 2011 until Jan. I averaged about 2 to 3 surgeries a week there. w Can't have jaw made as bone is deteroriating steaily that is left in jaw. Mersa is to blame. Feeding tube . Had trach for 4mos. Got it out April.
