Posters here have been treated at both places -- I know Eileen was seen at Penn (Abramson Cancer Center) and Wilckdds was at Fox Chase. You might sent them both an e-mail or a private message (click on their profiles for information) and ask about their experiences.

Both places are NCI-designated comprehensive cancer centers; Fox Chase is also part of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network, an alliance of 21 leading cancer centers that develops and publishes the annual treatment protocols.

April 2006: Husband dx by dentist with leukoplakia on tongue. Oral surgeon's biopsy 4/28/06: Moderate dysplasia; pathology report warned of possible "skip effect." ENT's excisional biopsy (got it all) 5/31/06: SCC in situ/small bit superficially invasive. Early detection saves lives.
