Hi Chris,
I was given IV Emend on my first day of chemo, then followed with a pill on dsy 2 and day 3 after. About day 5 the nausea hit me like a ton of bricks. I had to go to the ER and get a couple of bags of fluids and they gave me the Zofran but it didn't work that well. Phenergan worked better for me. At least now I know what to expect for the next two rounds.
8/2006: SCC, right lateral tongue, well differentiated, superficially invasive. 10/2009: recurrence, rt lateral tongue, surgery, rt mod neck dissection. 2/2010: metastasized node under left mandible. 3/2010: Induction chemo 3 rounds, Cisplatin, Tax, 5-FU. Surg and rad to follow.
